RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ASSOCIATION.
At a meeting of the Foxton Returned Soldiers’ Committee, held on Thursday evening, it was decided to proceed at once with the erection of the concrete wall around the Memorial Triangle, and tenders are
being called for the work. A vote of thanks and appreciation was passed to Messrs M. Yarnham and Trueman, for their assistance in the preparation of plans and specifications.
It was also resolved that the .iCommittee organise another Christmas Party for the children of returned men, to take the same form as the one held last year. The latter was such a success, and proved so popular with the young folk that the Committee thought it Avise to proceed along the same lines. The party \fill take place in the ToAvn Hall on Saturday, 17th December, and a shop day will be held on an earlier date to raise the necessary funds.
