MAORI GIRLS’ COLLEGE.
Marton, October 3. Advice has been received in Marton to the effect that the foundation stone of the new Maori Girls’ College, now in course of erection, •will be laid by the Governor-Gener-al (Sir Charles Fergusson), on October 27. A reception for the distinguished visitor is being arranged by the Maori Mission Committee of the Presbyterian Church, but details as to what form this will take are not yet available.
