DEATH OF A FOOTBALLER.
Auckland, October 3,
James Alexander Stewart, the only surviving son of Mr. Charles Stewart, of Waikato, died suddenly in the Waihi Hospital, on Saturday, from meningitis. While playing football a week ago, at Waikino, he was accidentally kicked on the back. He was admitted jto the hospital three days before his death. He was 1(5 years of age. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. Much sympathy if? felt for the family. Mr. Stewart’s youngest son, aged nine, was one of the two persons who were shot dead at the Waikino school in October, 1923,-by the demented man, Higgins.
