OROUA DOWNS RURAL DELIVERY.
As the result of a tender’ being accepted by the Post and lelegraph Department for the Oroua Downs rural delivery service, the Himatangi Post Office will be closed, but the exchange will still be avaiable between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and 2 p.m. and 4 p.in. daily. The Oroua Oowns post office will remain open. Local residents will also benefit as a result of the rural delivery, as an extra sealed mail for Foxton, will be brought down from Palmerston North each morning by the carrier, arriving here at 7 a.m.
