BOWLING.
, Members of the local Club are notified by advertisement that an important special general meeting will be held in the Racing Club building to-morrow (Friday) evening. All members are urged to attend. The opening of the local green will take place at no far distant date, and it is necessary to deal with matters affecting . the Club’s operations during the coming season. Interest in bowling matters is now quickening in anticipation of the coming season, and already the following clubs have notified Foxton Club of their opening dates: —Manawatu, Saturday, October Ist; Northern, Wednesday, October sth; Levin, Wednesday, October sth. Invitations have been extended for local bowlers to take part in the opening play on the foregoing greens.
