“The Ratana movement is vez’y much alive,” said one of his followers to-day, and preparations are in train for a big gathering at Christmas. 'By way of extra entertainment for the visitors, billiard tables have been installed at the pa. Politics will form part of the deliberations during the gathering, and there is a possibility of Ratanaites standing in behind the Young Maori Party in support of whatever candidates' are selected to contest the Maori seats at the next general election.
