MOUTOA.
CONCERT AND DANCE
A very successful concert and dance was held in the Moutoa Hall last night, under the auspices of the Hall Committee. Besides local people there were a number present from Shannon and Foxton. The concert consisted of musical and vocal items and some original and humorous sketches by Messrs A. Milner, Saxby, S. Barber and D. Gilbert. Mrs. Toogood, a recent arrival in the district, contributed a pianoforte selection, which was much appreciated. Mrs. Toogood is an accomplished, musician and this lady will be an'aquisition at future local performances. Mr. Cronquest was in good form and kept the audience amused with his comic items. Mrs. Barber’s vocal items were very acceptable. The dance was* well attended and was most enjoyable. The music was supplied by Mr. J. Newton. The supper arrangements were in the capable hands of the ladies. Altogether the function was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
