FATAL EXPERIMENT.
Christchurch, Yesterday.
At an inquest to-day on the death of Burrows Frank Dyson, district manager for J. J. Niven and Co., a verdict was returned that death was due to the deceased being struck by a flying metal caused through the bursting of an oil cylinder fed by compressed air pressure, and arising out of experiments made by the deceased. Witness said that three men were knocked out by the force of the explosion. The deceased was experimenting with a view to producing a better type of burner.
