SOCCER.

On Saturday St. Andrew’s met Foxton at Palmerston North. The football displayed was of a very mediocre standard, neither side appearing to take the game seriously, hut throughout it was easily apparent that Foxton were no match for their opponents, who were able to do what they wanted, and would have added a considerable margin ■to their already large score if their shooting had been more accurate. Ransom, Brookfield, Birch, McNab and Davis (3) scored for the blue and white, and a Foxton player accidently gave them their ninth goal. A. Crowe, late of the defunct Rangers’ senior team, scored Foxton’s sole goal shortly before time.
