ENTERTAINMENT.

A fight that would seem destined to live as a classic among filmed encounters is one of the high-lights in “Baree, Son of Kazan,” the James Oliver Curwood story whose pictured adaptation comes to the Town Hall to-night. Nepeese (Anita Stewart), is surprised * in her father’s cabin by McTaggart (Jack Curtiss), the unscrupulous post factor, and he is in the act of embracing the girl when Nepeese’s father, Pierrot (Joseph Rickson), suddenly appears in the doorway. Pierrot attacks McTaggart and the liveliest mix up ever filmed follows. It’s the real thing in a fight, and persons who see it in the picture are left to wonder how either of the actors actually escaped with his life. “Wolf” a French War dog of rare intelligence, plays the important canine role. On the same programme “Crushed,” a Lloyd Hamilton comedy. Bay of Islands (N.Z.) and Pathe News. Usual prices. “Satan in Sables,” the master picture on Monday, at the Town Hall, js the story of a dissolute but lovable spendthrift Prince cursed with boundless power and an inordinate love of pleasure. The one honest love of his life is his affection for his young brother, and when the boy kills himself in grief, Prince Michael tastes tragedy for the first time. Lowell Sherman plays the stellar role of the gentlemanly prolifigate. Usual prices.
