HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
THURSDAY . NEXT
On Thursday next the Foxton Horticultural Society will hold their Spring Show in the new Town Hall. When the Town Hall was burned down the Society lost the whole of its property. The loss was really a blessing in disguise, this having been replaced with new and up-to-date equipment. The Society desire to make the‘forthcoming show a big success, and would ask exhibitors to make as big an entry as possible oir this occasion, outside entries are coining from Rongotea, Sanson, and Otaki. Local gardens are looking their best. The whole exhibition, well staged, should make the most pleasing display the Society has yet undertaken.
The seeretaiy will be in attendance upstairs at the C. M. Ross Coy’s., from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 8 on Wednesday to receive entries.
Attention of local exhibitors is directed to the points prize in each section viz.: A; Mrs. Barr 7/G; B: C. M. Ross and Co. 10/6; C.: Special prize 5/-; D: W. J. Ross 5/-; E: Mr Christie 10/6; 74E Mrs. Easton 10/-; 75E Mr. Shailer 10/6; 7GE Mr. Gibson 10/-; G Mrs. Mason trophy; II Cookery points prize 10/6; II 111 A Special cake recipe, special Mr. Whitehead Ist 10/6, 2nd Mr. Yeo 251 b bag Hour, 3rd Mr. 11. Osborne 2/6; I special points prize cake, Mr. J. Walls, and many other prizes are offered for which see the schedule, which shows classes for vegetables, cooking, home industries and decorative as well as the bulb blooms.
Schedules may be obtained from Messrs Wdlls and Grady’s business premises, Main street, or secretary.
