OTAKI BULB SHOW.
Messrs E. J. Murphy and Peryman exhibited at the Otaki Bulb Show yesterday, with the following results:—
Three stems, yellow trumpets: E. J. Murphy 1; 3 bi-colour: E. J. Murphy 2; 3 stems white trumpets: S. Peryman 1; 1 white trumpet: S. Peryman 2; G stem Leedsii: S. Peryman 2; 3 stem's Leedsii: E. J. Murphy 2; 1 bloom Leedsii: E. J. Murphy 2; collection G varieties, unnamed, 1 of each: S. Peryman 2; 1 bloom Barri: S. Peryman 2; 3 stems Polyanthus: E. J. Murphy 1. Mr Murphy informed our representative that the show was a record with regard to entries, over G7O being received. The hospitality the local exhibitors received, he said, was unsurpassed. Morning and afternoon tea and luncheon was provided and in the afternoon a motor drive around the gardens and to the Beach arranged. The local exhibitors were greatly impressed by the hospitality received by the Qtaki Horticultural Society.
