DORCAS SOCIETY.

A meeting of the committee of the Foxton Dorcas Society met in All Saints’ Guildroom last Friday. Those present werq Mesdames F. Robinson (President), D. Christie, A. Ross, W. H. Walton, C. Desmond, Adjutant Sanson, Miss Williams and Revs. Walton and Peryman, W. H. Nicholas and the secretary (Mrs. R. McMurray). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Peryman, Nicholas, and Miss Ross. Rev. Walton occupied the chair and before proceeding with the business a motion of sympathy was passed to Mrs. A. S. Easton and ( family in their recent bereavement. The secretary reported on the work carried out during the past month and correspondence was received from Mr. F. Mason and Miss Williams expressing appreciation of the Society’s work. A donation of 10/- was received from Miss Williams. The action of the president and secretary in granting assistance to an applicant was endorsed. The date of the next meetinc was left in the hands of the president and secretary to arrange.
