AUCKLAND TO WELLINGTON FLIGHT.
DONE IN 3i HOURS FLYING TIME. Captain J. L. Findley, accompanied by Group-Captain P. F. M. Fellowes, leader of the Imperial Airship Mission, arrived at Trentham racecourse on' Saturday at 2.55 p.m., after having arrived from Auckland, via Hawera, in the “Bristol Fighter.” They left Auckland in Saturday at 10.10 a.m. in perfect flying conditions, and arrived in Hawera at noon, having taken only 1 hour 50 minutes to cover the journey of 200 miles. After replenishing the tanks with 24 gallons of petrol, they left for Wellington, that part of the journey occupying only 1 hour 33 minutes. The fliers, had a good run down. They will remain in Wellington for a few days, when Group-Cap-tain Fe'llowes will accompany Captain Findlay on 'his flight tp Christchurch, whither he is returning. DIISO REPAIRED. Blenheim, September 3. Repairs to the DIISO aeroplane, which was badly damaged on Saturday last in landing at the Blenheim Aerodrome, have been proceeding all the week, and the machine is now ready to take the air again. It is probable that on Monday Captain W. M. Buckley will fly from Blenheim in this machine.
