MONTHLY SITTING. The uusal monthly sitting of the local S.M. Court was held yesterday, before Mi-. J. L. Stout, S.M. BY-LAW CASES. E. Morgan and W. E. Hopper, charged with riding bicycles in the borough after dark without lights, were each fined 5/- with costs 10/-. WANDERING STOCK Charged with allowing stock to wander on the 'County roads by Mr. Berry, Traffic Inspector for the. Manawatu County Council, the following offenders, who pleaded guilty were convicted and fined as follows: —G. Rankin 5/-, costs 14/-; M. Karehana 10/-, costs 19/-; J. H. Pooley 5/-, costs 12/-; J. Bain .5/-, costs 14/-; A. G. Whitfield 5/-, costs 14/-; W. J. Stanley 5/-, costs M/-. In the defended cases, C. Marriott was fined 10/-, costs 14/-; Bowe Bros. 5/-, costs 12/-; R. Bryant 10/-, costs 12/-. CIVIL CASES. Judgment was given for plainitff , in the following civil undefended eases : J. A. Hofmann v. W. Eparaima, claim £lB 2s 9d, costs £2 12s; same v. D. McCauley £3 4s, costs £1 Is 6d; A. Ross, Rough and Co., v. R. ,D. Grey £6 5s 6d, costs £1 10s 6d; J. P. McAnally v. S. Sinclair £2 0s 6d, costs 13s; W. Trueman v. H. Pnrfitt £26 12s 6d, and order made for possession of house on or before 30th September, 1927, costs £1 10s.
