The revenue of the North Island main railway lines and branches for the period ended 23rd July was as follows: (the revenue for the corresponding period last year being shown in parenthesis): —Passengers, £90,910 10s 7d (£94,087 5s (id); parcels, £15,738 16s lid (£15,933 7s 2d); g00d5,£169,867 5s lOd (£174,301 11s 2d); labour and demurrage, £4899 7s lid (£5259 12s sd); total, £281,516 Is 3d (£289,581 lfis 3d). South Island main lines and branches: : —'Passengers, £38,489 18s (£38,932 8s lid); parcels, £8678 2s 7d (£8919 14s 4d); goods, £127,989 17s 6d (£128,597 16s lOd); labour and demurrage, £4718 7s lOd (£3962 14s Id); total, £179,876 5s lid (£180,412 14s 2d).
