DEATH OF THE HON. R. F. BOLLARD.
The death took place at Wellington this morning, after a brief illness of the Hon. R. F. Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs, aged 04 years. The late Hon. Richard Francis Bollard was born at Avondale, Auckland, in 1863 and was a son of the late Mr. John Bollard, M.P. for Eden. In private life he was engaged in the timber industry at Taupiri. He was elected M.P. for Raglan in 1911 and re-elected at subsequent elections. He was junior Government whip in 1918 and senior whip in 1919. He was elevated to Ministerial rank in 1923, as Minister of Internal Affairs, ja. portfolio which he has since held. He leaves three sons and five daughters. The House will adjourn to-day as a mark of respect to his memory.
