PLUNKET SOCIETY.
The monthly meeting of the local branch of the Plnnket Society was held yesterday, presided over by the President (Mrs F. Robinson). The nurse’s report showed that she had made four visits to Foxton, 13 to homes, 89 adults had visited the office, 7G babies, and 45 older children making a total of 210 cases. There had been three new cases during the month and four letters were received. It was decided to forward Nurse MacGillivary a letter of appreciation of her services as she had now taken up a position in 'Australia. The resignation of Mrs F. Runnier was accepted with regrot, the President stating that Mrs Riminer had been one of the Society’s best workers for a number of years. Regret was also expressed that opportunity had not been taken to farewell Mrs Rimmer and the secretary was instructed to forward her a letter expressing the Society’s best wishes. Mesdames Robinon and McMurray were appointed visitors for the month. Proceeds of Mr Corn’s weighing machine were 8/3, office box, 13/9.
