POSTAGE RATES.

Letters and Letter Cards (inland) Id first ounce, Id each additional ounce. Uiiited Kingdom, British Possessions, United States, Italy, Australia and certain other countries, Id each ounce. All other places 2Jd for first ounce and 1-Jd for each additional ounce. Postcards (inland) -id, reply Id. All other places, single, Id, reply 2d (Postal Union rates), Inland Packets, comprising commercial papers, packet and sample packet, and unregistered magazines, id each 2oz. up to 21b. and 2d each additional lb. beyond 21b. up to 51b. Beyond New Zealand: —Commercial papers, 2-Jd 10oz., and each additional 2oz. Books and printed papers, beyond New Zealand, -}d each 2oz. Patteim and Sample Packets beyond New Zealand Id for 4oz. and id each additional 2oz. Magazines, not registered: beyond New Zealand, id each 2oz. Magazines, 'registered, inland, Id each Boz. Newspapers, inland, id each. Australia, etc., Id each. United Kingdom, Id each. All other places Id for 40z., Id each additional 2oz. Charge for Private Letter Boxes, £1 10/- per annum. Money Orders:—New Zealand, £lO or less, Gd commission and 3d each succeeding £5 or fiaction thereof. Postal Notes: —Id up to 2/G; 2d from 3/- to 15/-, and 3d for 20/-. £2 or less 3d and 3d for each succeeding £1; other places outside New Zealand Gd each £l. Ordinary Telegrams: —On weekdays, 9d for the first 12 words; Id for each additional word. Urgent

telegrams, double these rates. The rates on Sundays and Public Holidays will be double those on weekdays. “Daily Letter Telegrams” will be accepted for the United Kingdom by both Eastern and Pacific) routes and for Canada via Pacifiic only. They are subject ,to 48 hours, delay. Rates: —Minimum of 13/6" for 20 words and 8d per word thereafter for the United Kingdom; Canada 10/2 for 20 words and Gd per Avord thereafter. Week-end messages, via Patcific, for United Kingdom, 11/10, minimum for 20 words and 7d per word in excess; Canada, minimum of 8/11 for 20 words and ssd per word in excess.
