ALLEGED BOOKMAKERS.

TWO MEN ACQUITTED. Dunedin, August 3. At, the Supreme Court this morning, before Mr Justice Sim, Thomas Butler was charged with having on or about June 3rd, carried on the business or occupation of a bookmaker. The jury, after a retirement of about half an hour, found a verdict of not guilty. David Thomson Pearson was similarly charged'and was found not guilty.
