DORCAS SOCIETY
A committee meeting of the Dorcas Society was held in the Anglican Guild Room yesterday afternoon. Those present were: Rev. W. H. Walton (in the chair), Rev. W. 11. Nicholas, Mesdames A. Ross, C. Desmond, D. Christie, J. M. Barr, W. 11. Walton, Miss Ross, Adjutant Sanson, and the lion, secretary (Mrs R. McMurray). Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames P. Robinson, C. A. Pearson, IL Moore, W. H. Nicholas and Miss Williams. The Secretary reported on two cases which had received assistance during the month. One application was received and granted. Accounts totalling £1 13s 7d were passed for payment. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr J. Joseph for fitting up a box for the' Society’s goods. Donations of clothing ist acknowledged from the following: —Mesdames F. Robinson, E. M. Wyllie, S. Austin, M. B. Bergin, James Barber, C. A. Pearson, R. McMurray, D. Christie, C. Desmond, G.. Tyer, F. Mason, W. H. Walton and anonymous.
