DIPHTHERIA PREVALENT.

IN AUCKLAND PROVINCE

AUCKLAND. July 20. The prevalence of diphtheria is not confined to tire city and suburbs. At a meeting of the Manukau County Council the inspector reported that, during the past month, throe more cases had occurred at Papatoetoe, six at East Tamaki and one at Weymouth.

The inspector said that all the children of East Tamaki School had been swabbed and inoculated. The usual precautionary measures had been taken elsewhere.
