CANCER AND RADIUM TREATMENT.
London, July 1. “It is terrible to see the number of cancer cases which could have been relieved had they been treated at the right time,” said Sir William Milligan, the eminent specialist, speaking at the annual meeting of the Manchester and Disriet Radium Institute. The institute only treated inoperable cases, he added, and the number of people who, after being treated 1 eight or ten years ago, were free from symptoms and able to earn their own living was remarkable.
