Tired of the attentions of a suitor twenty years older than herself, Signorita Santa Nicastro, aged 23, invited her lover Signor Borino Francesco, to come to her bedroom, stipulating that he must enter by the window. Borino climbed in head first, when Santa threw around his neck a lope in which she had arranged a slipknot. The astonished mall struggled to escape and managed to prevent himself from being strangled. But as he continued to struggle Santa emptied the contents of a six-chambered revolver in his body, killing him immediately. . Santa is in prison awaiting trial.
