TEACHER’S APPEAL DISMISSED.

Wellington, This Day.

The Teachers’ Appeal Court yesterday made known its decision in the appeal of Miss Catherine Tschermissinoff against her dismissal by the Board of Governors of the Wellington Girls’ College. The Court held that appellant was not wholly unfitted as a teacher, but that she was unfitted to teach such subjects as English an;d English history, and possibly similar subjects which required a thoiough knowledge of the English language and the English pronunciation. Under those circumstances the board was justified in refusing to retain the appellant in its service for such a school as the Wellington Girls’ College. The appeal was therefore dismissed.
