PRESBYTERIAN SOCIAL.
The Presbyterian schoolroom was srthe scene of a happy gathering last evening on the occasion of another of the series of socials held under, the auspices of the Presbyterian Women’s Social Guild. The hall was comfortably filled and the unconventional nature of the programme made every one “feel at home.” Competitions, vocal items, community singing and games kept everyone amused. The ReY. Mr. Nicholas, who presided, said the object of the gatherings was to bring members and adherents and their friends together in social intercourse rather than for the x'aising of funds.
Those who contributed to the programme were Mrs. Carmont, Misses Satherley, Munn, Messrs Hornblow and Nicholas. Accompaniments were played by Mesdames Carmont, Ross and Miss Roore. Competitions were won by Mesdames J. Ross and Thomson. A tasty supper was provided at the conclusion. Those responsible for the carrying out of the soeial were Mesdames Roore, Kennedy, Larsen, Satherley, Munn and King. The next social will be held in a month’s time.
