OLD MAN’S HOARD.

£IOOO FOUND IN TIN

Dargavillc, July 1

When the police searched the wliare of Edward Karans, who was found dead in a street on Tuesday night, they were surprised to find in a biscuit tin a hoard of £IOOO. The old man had evilently been putting by during his fifty-two years’ sojourn in the district. There was no will and there are no known relatives. The Public Trustee has taken charge of the hoard in the meantime.
