£16,000 DEFICIENCY.
BANKRUPT COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. Invercargill, June 22. At the Magistrate’s Court today Gordon Brown a bankrupt land agent, pleaded guilty to failing to keep proper books, and also to contracting debts without a reasonable expectation of being able to pay them. Counsel stated that the bankrupt’s deficiency was about £16,000. Accused was committed for sentence at Dunedin.
