SEQUEL TO MOTOR COLLISION.

LADY DRIVER FINED,

A. sequel to the motor collision which took place near Rongotea on May 25th last, when a ear collided with and damaged Mr. A. Wall’s lorry, was heard in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. Evidence was given that on May 25 last, Vera Claasen obtained a f motor-driver’s license. On the afternoon of the same "day she was driving a car in Rongotea, when she collided with Walls’ lorry. • Senior-Sergeant O’Grady, who prosecuted, stated that defendant was driving the car on the wrong side of the road, when she ran into a motor-lorry, the front wheel of which was smashed. Defendant admitted to the police that she had not seen the lorry. Defendant was not present in Court, but was fined £2 and costs 13s.
