PRESENTATION
The Foxton Racing Club' committee made a presentation to Airs. Austin-,Tolinston at the Racing Club office on Thursday evening, prior to the annual ball, when she was made the recipient of a Royal Worcester pot purri pot vase on behalf of the dub. The presentation was made by Mr. IV. E. Barber, in the absence of. the president (Mr. J. R. Whyte). Air. Barber referred to Hu* fact that Airs. Austin-Johnston was the only lady member of the club and had shown her practical, interest in it by purchasing, when on a recent visit to England, a handsome cup, which accompanied the stake in the cup race at the lastmeeting. He also referred to Airs. Austin-Johnslon’s artivitics in other institutions and .stated that her departure from Foxton would be. regretted. He hoped her stay in Wellington would be pleasant and that in llie near future she would again take up her residenre in Foxton.
Mrs. Austin-Johnston’s health was then drunk with musiral honours and she suitably replied.
