RACING CLUB BALL.
SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL FUNCTION.
The annual Racing Club Ball was held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening and despite the inclement weather, which precluded many from attending, was a decided social success. Upwards of ninety couples occupied the floor, representative of all parts of the district. The artistic decorations previously referred to, combined with the van-coloured dresses of the fair sex, presented a charming scene. The music and catering left nothing to be desired. A special word of praise is due to the committee and secretary (Mr. Ogilvy) for the excellent arrangements made. The entering was in the hands of Mr. J. Walls and staff and mention must be made of the ehalrming settling of the shipperroom. xi-mong those present were the following:— Mrs. W. E.
