STOLEN MAILBAG

CHARGE AGAINST HAMILTON MAN. Wellington, June 15. Alleged to have stolen a mailbag containing £IO,OOO in Treasury notes from the Cardiff-London express mi February 2, Joseph Poster, aged 4-1, who was arrested on a provisional warrant at Claudclands, Hamilton, recently, appeared before the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Poster, who is described as a traveller, was also charged with having received a hag which was the property of the British Government, knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained.

On the application of Chief Detective Ward he was remanded to appear next Wednesday.
