SCARLET FEVER.

NUMEROUS GASES.

Wellington, June 15th

The Wellington provincial district is experiencing the undue incidence of a mild type of scarlet fever. The latest figures for New Zealand give a total of 00 cases and one death. Of these cases nine were in the Wanganui-Horowhenua district, 15 in the Wairarapu and East Coast, 13 in Wellington, and the rest in other Wellington districts. The Health Department is taking precautions and has issued instructions to headmasters of schools and parents.
