More than usual /Interest twas attached to the dance at the Alontoa Hall on Friday last,, which took l lie form of a hard-up and fancy dress masquerade. The cost limes were many and varied, and rrlleelcd credit on the ingenuity of the wearers. 'The hall was tastefully decorated and the evening was interspersed with novelty dances. Aniong the costumes, those o| Mr. Saxby as “Captain Blood.” Air. Milner ns the “Navy League and Mr. S. Barber as “College Days” deserve special mention. The dance was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and augers well for the future success of the soeinl functions to be held in the ball.
