YOUNG MAN KILLED,

Taihape, Last Night,

While returning home in a motorcar, Leo. Mc-Sweeney, accompanied by John Roy Mills, ran off the' road at a bend, turning a somersault, pinning both occupants to the ground. McSweeney extricated himself, but being unable to free Mills went for assistance five miles away. '

When he returned he found Mills suffocated with the weight of the ear on his back. He was quite dead.

Mills was twenty-seven years of age and was married only a few weeks ago. The inkuest was adjourned on the application of the police for further evidence.
