Mr. E. Jackson, tellei' at "the local hank of New Zealand is at present on his annual holidays. Mr. Corvie, of Levin, is acting as relieving teller. The death took place aboard the Gleiitully Castle, two days out from Genoa, on the homeward trip to South Africa, of Mr 11. W. B, Blow, brother of Mrs E. H. Barber, oi Robinson St. Eoxton, and of Mr .J. 11. Blow (late under-'Secretary of Public Works), of Wellington. The late Mr Blow was a member of an old Hurtfordshire family, and was horn at St. Albans in 1857. As a young man, accompanied by, his brother, lie came to New Zealand, aiul entered the Civil Service at Wellington, where lie was wellknown. He subsequently travelled in manv lands, and went to South Africa ‘in 1897. He knew South Africa from end to end. He leaves a daughter and two sons.
