MINISTER OF EDUCATION.

TO VISIT FOXTON NEXT

THURSDAY,

The Hon. R, A. Wright (Minister lor Education) will visit Foxton on Thursday next, June 2nd., when he will inspect the local District High School. 4 When it was notified that it was the Minister’s intention to visit the schools in Palmerston North, Feilding and Marlon, the chairman of the local District High School telegraphed the Minister with a request that he include Foxton in his itinerary, to which the following reply was received: “Your telegram received. I shall be motoring through from Marton to Wellington on Thursday, the 2nd proximo, and shall be pleased to call at Foxton school as requested. I will let you know later the time you may expect me, but I think it will be just after lunch.”

The Minister also notified the Mayor of his intended visit to Foxton. Mr. J. Linklater, M.P., was also notified, and will accompany the Minister.

The Mayor will extend a civic welcome to the Minister at the Council Chamber upon his arrival prior to the ceremony at the school. The public will be invited to the present at the civic reception and at the school.
