A young man. named Thomas Walter Fuisdon, aged 21 years, son of Aii- and Airs Pursdon, of Marotiri, met with an accident while loading a rille at his father’s residence on. Sunday morning.

The young man had just loaded the rifle, and was in the act of closing the bolt when the charge exploded, and the bullet entered his thigh and passed downwards. After receiving medical attention the unfortunate man was conveyed to the Palmerston N. Hospital, where the injured limb will be Xrayed. The patient is progressing satisfactorily..
