DANNEVIRKE BURGLARY

MAN ARRESTED IN SYDNEY. Sydney, May 12. Detectives have arrested a man in the city and charged him with being connected with the robbery of jewellery, valued at £2058, from Dannevirke in February last. About £IOOO worth of jewellery was found on the prisoner. On the night of 2nd February the jewellery shop of Stubbs and Millar in the heart of the business area of Dannevirke, was broken into, the front door being forced. -Then the strongroom was unlocked, and a quantity of goods, chiefly diamond rings, abstracted.
