WEDDING

CLAHIS—IIORSBRUGII. The wedding was solmcnised re- < cully, at Roseneatli Presbyterian Church, Wellington, of Joyce Lilian, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Claris, Hataitai, and at one time of Foxlon, and Charles Christie, only son of Mr and Mrs 11. Horsbruglq Waiorongomai, Featherston. The wcremony was performed by the Lev. Bruce Todd, 8.A., and Miss Low presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock, of lace and satin charmeuse, an embroilered veil of tulle being arranged with orange blossom in coronet fashion. Slit! carried a shower bouquet of roses, sweet sultan, and maidenhair fern, entwined With white satin streamers. Miss Ella Patterson, of i'oxton, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a. frock of apricot-col-oured taffeta, and picture hat. She carried a bouquet of roses, chrysanthemums, and maidenhair tern to tone. Mr W. Claris, of Hnitaitai, was best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a string of pearls, and to the bridesmaid and best man silver serviette rings. The bride l and bridegroom left J.alcr for their future home in the Wairarapa, the bride travelling in a .mauve ensemble suit and.hat to match.
