TOWN HALL CARETAKER’S COTTAGE.

TENDER ACCEPTED,

Eleven tenders were received at last night's Borough Council meeting for the erection of a caretaker’s cottage at the rear of the Town Hall. That of Mr J. Harvey, of Levin, the lowest tenderer, was accepted. The tenders were as follows: —

F. Jackson (P.N.) £837 3s fid, R. M. Maunder J.P.N.) £792 16s Od, C. W. Lankshear (Levin) £7BO, J. E. Tollison (Foxton) £772" T. W. Hunt (Foxton) £761 7s, A. Or. Thomas (Foxton) £755, Mason (Levin) £749, Baldwin ‘(P.N.) £729, D. H. Smart (P.N.) £694 9s Od, H. Doney (P.N.) £694, J. Harvey (Leviti) £635. Mr M. R. Varnham (Levin) is the architect, and Mr Wni. Trueman was appointed clerk of works.

A start will be made almost immediately with the erection of the building.
