EDUCATIONAL.
AN APPRECIATION
In his report at last night’s mceling of the District High School Committee, the headmaster (Mr Mason) stated: — “It is very gratifying to me and my staff fo find that' all members of last year’s Committee retained the confidence of the householders, and were re-elected, for the harmonious relationships which have existed have, as I stated in my annual report, made it a real pleasure to be associated with you all. I doubt whether any school committee in the district comprises more capable, enthusiastic and interested body of men fhan that representing the Foxton householders. That being so, and the forthcoming year being one frought with so much importance from the point of view of educational advancement in our town, particularly in the direction of the provision of complete facilities for the carrying out of all activities associated with the primary and secondary manual and technical training of our children, together with the improvement in and ■ the possible extension of the playing areas, I feel confident that a great deal of most useful work will be accomplished which will in due course earn the commendation of the community.”
