HIGH COMMISSIONER’S
REPORT
The High Commissioner’s cablegram, dated 23rd instant, reads: —
Manila market dull, and prices lower. J grade. May-July shipments quoted at £4l 15s, and AprilJuue shipments at £42. The sisal market is quiet, with N°- 1 Tanganyika quoted at £3B. Mexican offered at £35 10s c.i.f. European ports for April-September shipments. The New Zealand market is slow, with no buyers at present, and value nominal. Possible business at about. £35 for high points, and £34 for fair for April-June shipments. The stocks in London at 31st March were 50 tons, against 81 tons for the same time last i ear.
