BIG WINTER SHOW
Hardly a month remains' before the entries for the National Dairy Show which is to be held on the Showgrounds at Palmerston North will finally close, and contemplating exhibitors should now be thinking about making their entries to avoid the possibility of overlooking them at the last minute.
The schedule may be had free on application to the secretary, and is replete with ■ numerous cups, trophies and cash prizes in all sections. The Public School division lias been well attended to this year and classes for milk testing, public schools’ gardens, boys and girls, agricultural clubs, natural history, forestry, have been included in the schedule. There are also classes for fat cattle, fat sheep and lambs, ring competitions, fruit, honey, held roots, vegetables, photography, etc. The housewife will also have plenty to keep her busy in the way of pre : paring entries for the home cookery and needlework classes. The Manawatu Poultry Association will also hold their Annual Championship Show in conjunction with the mtain event. Their schedules have not as yet been printed but will be available in a couple of weeks time. When applying for prize, lists for this section exhibitors should specially state “poul try’* schedules as these are issued in a separate booklet. All entries close on 31st May. Send for a schedule uow if you have with the main event. Their schednot us yet received one.
