Mr. H. Berry leaves for Blenheim to-morrow, where his brother lies dangerously ill. ' Mr. J. Linklater, M.P. and Mrs. Linklater leave to-day for a holiday trip to the Islands. They will be absent for about a month. Mrs. Bain has taken over the duties of matron of All Saints’ Childrens Home at the Beach. Mrs. Rain will be assisted by her daughter and Miss Thomas as assistants. The death took place at Feilding yesterday of Mrs. Albert Broadbelt, a very old and highly esteemed resident of Feilding and previously of Rongotea. and the Main Trunk. The deceased lady, who was in her 88th year, was relict of the late Mi 1 . Albert Broadbelt well known in the timber industry. Mrs. Broadbelt was predeceased by her husband six years ago. Of her family, (here is one son, Mr. E. T. Broadbelt, of Ranfuriv road, Feilding, and three daughters, Airs. G. H. Lowe, Hastings, Mrs. W. Anderson, Taihape, and Mrs. J. Chrystall, Foxtou.
