FOOTBALL.

A reminder is given of the meeting of all those interested in the formation of a Wednesday football team locally, to be held in Grady’s rooms at 7 p.m. sharp this evening.

A team to represent the local Juniors against Miranui at Miranui on Saturday, will bo selected from the following:— Wright, GupwelJ, Carter, Graham, Scott, Rankin, Woods, Anderson, Perreau, Huff, Ross, Stevenson, Shaw, Hartley, Taylor, Royal, Burnett, Baker and Morgan. The following team will represent the Foxton Thirds: —

Maori, Ncwson, Huff, Broad, M. Dunn, Simpson, Hartley, E. Simpson, McCarthy, de Ridder, Wright, Grimstone, Smith, Davey, Anderson. Emergency F. Hirini. FOXTON FOOTBALL CLUB. A committee meeting of the Foxton Football Club was held in Wall’s rooms last evening, presided over by the President (Mr. H. Hutchins)] Also present were: Messrs T. Fuller, T. Tuna, A. and E. Walls, W. Neville, R, Cochrane, W. Currie, C. Rand, Mrs. Fuller and the secretary (Mr. R, Hornblow). Prior to the' commencement of business the President made feeling reference, to loss the Foxton Club bad sustained in the death of Mr. Fred Williams. The late Mr. Williams had been connected with the club for a long time and had been a keen member, and of great assistance to the club. They had lost a good sport in Mr. F. Williams. A motion of sympathy was passed to the relatives of deceased and also to those of the late Mr. Rewi Moynihan, members standing in silence for a few moments. Mr. A.. Walls reported on the Foxton-Berhainpore match and the President congratulated the team on its success. It was decided to forward Messrs Murray, Mason and Moffatt a letter of appreciation for their attention to the team during its sojiurn in Wellington. It was decided to hold the euchre party as usual this evening, despite counter attractions. Accounts amounting to £1 13s Od were passed for payment. A team to represent Awahou Juniors against Shannon on the racecourse on Saturday will be selected from the following:— 1 Forwards: —Papara, Coots, John McGregor, Silk, Boyle, W. Hines, Penc, Piki, Bowe (2), R. Walbutton. Backs: —Shammy, Poto, S. McGregor, H. McGregor, Stuart, Moheky, •J. McGregor. \
