Auckland, Last Night,

A pedestrian on Grafton Bridge at eight o’clock to-night was horrified to sec a man climb the parapet and hurl himself over. When ihc body was found in the scrub below life was extinct. The man was about 35. Written in pencil on a piece of cardboard in his pocket was the following message: ' . Ted Bell,l am going to eonumt suicide. L am going over Grafton Bridge.—Jose McLennan. On another piece of paper an address in Vincent street was given.
