ALLEGED THEFT OF OVER £lloo.

RAILWAY SERVANT ARRESTED Invercargill, April 12. Michael Lyons, railway servant, was arrested this morning and charged in the Magistrate’s Court this afternoon with the theft of £1147 14s Id, the property of the New Zealand Government Railways. Me was remanded to appear at Christchurch on April 26. . Christchurch, April 12. Wjilliam John Sullivan, an accountant (aged 26), was charged at the Magistrate’s Court before Mr. H. P. La wry, S.M., to-day, with the theft, between June 30, 1924, and March 10, 1927, of the sum of £950 belonging to the Canadian Government Mercantile Marine Limited. 'Accused pleaded not. guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial. He was allowed bail in £250, and one surety of £250, and ordered to report daily to the police.
