BOROUGH FINANCE.
TREASURER’S STATEMENT. The treasurer reported as follows at Monday night’s meeting of the Foxton Borough Council: — During the month of March the sum of £1309 13s 7d was received and banked as follows:—District Fund £B9B 19s lid; cemetery account £3 17s fid; Drainage Construction Loan £9 4s lOd; Roads and Streets No. 3 Loan £359 7s 6d; Town Hall No. 2 Loan £3B 3s lOd. The ledger balances at the 31st March were as follows: —Accounts at debit totalled £672 14s lOd and were made up as follows. —Gasworks £4Ol Is 9d; general £122 15s fid; hospital and charitable aid £5 5s 7d; Interest £143 12s Od. The accounts at credit were: — Cemetery £134 4s 2d; Drainage Construction Loan £ll7 6s 7d; library £lO2 0s lOd; reserves £l9O 15s lOd; roads and streets No. 3 £1538 7s 3d; Town Hall account £96 Is lOd; waterworks £93 11s 9d. a total of £2272 8s 3d.
