TOWN HALL CARETAKER’S COTTAGE.

TENDERS TO BE CALLED

MONEY TO BE RAISED BY DEBENTURES.

At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council plans and .specifications for the Town Hall caretaker’s cottage were submitted for approval by the architect (Mr. M. Varnham). A letter was also received from the State Advances Superintendent stating that the necessary Order-in-Council to permit the Council to raise,, a loan for the work had been put in hand. The plans and specifications were approved and it was decided to call tenders for the work.

The Town Clerk reported that he had received several applications by ratepayers willing to take up debentures and was of opinion that there would be no difficulty in raising the money in this manner.

It was decided to adopt the Town Clerk’s suggestion.
